Go-To Fall Makeup

My favorite FALL makeup palette and more...

I'm not a professional makeup artist and I don't even wear makeup that often in general. I still, however, decided to buy myself a makeup palette that I could experiment with before I decide to spend a good amount of money on just one palette. I bought the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette from their online store for a really decent price of $20. I've seen a lot of reviews on this palette on YouTube and it seems to be a great dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette which retails at $54! The quality of the Naked palettes is amazing because the pigmentation is great, but I'm not a professional make up artist or knowledgeable enough to appreciate makeup that expensive just yet, so that is the reason I went with this Coastal Scents palette.

I went with this palette because of the color options it offers and for the fact that there were a decent amount of matte shades available to use. The bottom row of colors seem perfect for fall because they are a slightly darker in color and I could do a smokey eye with this palette if I choose too (and if I can achieve not looking like I got punched in the eye!). :p

I also bought some brown gel eyeliner from Elf. I have to admit that it isn't the best eyeliner that I've used, but since I wanted to try out the color I thought that $3 for the product was a bargain! I'm actually surprised that this brown gel eyeliner isn't that great since the black gel eyeliner from the same company is actually great quality (8/10 as compared to Stila and MAC which I give a 10/10)! I had to apply a couple coats onto the brown eyeliner in order to get it the way I wanted to and I thought it really flattered my hazel eyes. I will definitely be investing in a much better quality brown gel liner in the near future (most like from Stila). I have yet to buy a brown mascara to try out, but I definitely think that I will be buying one in the near future to use along with my brown gel eyeliner.

I usually go for a nude or light pink lip, like the lipsticks shown in the photos from Milani in shades 27 Dulce Caramelo (left) and 26 Nude Creme (right), because I don't like sticking out like a sore thumb wherever I go as I can't pull off the darker colored lip shades just yet!

Thank you again for stopping by and make sure to let me know what palette you are using this Fall and if you have ever tried anything Coastal Scents before!
