Paris Diaries: 001

 Ah Paris!

A few years back I went to Paris to enjoy the city once more. I'm very fortunate enough to have traveled with my family to Paris when I was in high school and I desperately wanted to visit again. I dreamed of sitting outside of a café drinking something (anything!!) that made me look sophisticated and totally Parisian. When August came around I booked my flight and headed off to the city of love!

I took a taxi to my hotel upon arriving to the city, as that's what every Parisian does right? Forty Euros later, and an empty wallet, I arrived in my hotel in the area of Montparnasse. I was surprisingly shocked at how pleasant the room was. It was so clean and minimal, yet the bath tub lit up different colors! It's too bad I wasn't into blog mode back then or else I would have taken a photo or two to show you guys!

It was such a disappointment to find out that I had left my camera at home in California so I totally missed out on having really great quality photos for this trip. Warning from now, I had to settle for dark and low quality photos all around. I'm still annoyed to this day about forgetting the camera but nonetheless I gathered some photos on my phone and here are the results!

On the first day of my Parisian trip I enjoyed the Jardin du Luxembourg (Luxembourg Gardens). Here is a video of Jardin du Luxembourg that I found which really represents what I saw the best! It was so peaceful and so relaxing to walk around in. Local couples were everywhere and a fight even broke out in front of many people in the center of the garden. I don't speak French, but from what I gathered the young lady was breaking up with her boyfriend. The young man, upon hearing this heartbreaking news, tried to hang himself from one of the trees from despair and what saved him was the girl who was trying to break up with him!! What really saved him though? A kiss. Ah, Paris.

I look a bit scary in this one! :p
